This will get interesting

After what I said a couple of days ago, this is going to get very interesting very, very quickly. With Apple seemingly stuck in neutral on coming up with new products. The fact that OpenAI has decided to go after a consumer-level product in this big, big way with the All-Stars from Apple's design group is a huge shot across the bow of Apple. This also comes back to the idea that the interface for computers is going to massively change in the next 2 to 3 years. I believe that we are moving more and more towards the idea of Star Trek: The Next Generation, where we simply interact by speaking into the ether, and our computers will do what they need. Considering I'm dictating this while wandering my apartment on a set of AirPods connected to my MacBook Air tells you something about what I think about where interface technology is going to go. This will have massive implications for consumer-based technology, but also enterprise space technology.

I'm really interested to see what OpenAI does here and if they can recapture the idea that was Apple post the return of Steve Jobs. I'm interested to see if Jony Ive is McCartney or Lennon. I have a funny feeling he is McCartney, a musical genius who can work with anyone and make them better. It’ll be interesting if Altman can be Lennon and work with Ive to create something new and truly world-changing. I would bet on yes.
